violence is dumb - try something else
So...about this killing of the abortion doctor, the shooting at the holocaust museum and this guy shooting a bunch of cops here in Pittsburgh recently, all for basically political reasons. I have a public service announcement:
Dear lunatics,
The awesome thing about America is that we have freedom of speech. We have ways of expressing our opinion and our dislike for something that can effectively get our point across without killing someone. You can write a letter to the editor. You can blog. You can start a web site. You can publish an entire magazine all about how much you disagree with or dislike something or someone(s). You can stand out on the street corner and hold up a sign. You can wear a t-shirt with your inspiring message emblazoned across it. You can carry around a coffee mug with a symbol of your cause. You can put it in your email signature. You can make your own bumper stickers at cafepress.com and stick them on every surface you own. You can write "I do not agree with abortion doctors/jews/gays/democrats/Obama/cops" in Christmas lights on your house if you really want to. In fact, please do - that would be something to talk about.
Quit acting like you live under some oppressive regime where your only recourse in expressing yourself involves some dipshit kamikaze move.
