twindling my thumbs
So for the past few weeks we have been running around a lot. We have been to a lot of parties and dinners and get togethers of various sorts with a lot of people. The husband announced to me the other day that he. is. done. DONE. He requested with implied threat of divorce or possibly death and dismemberment that we please please please stay in and not be social this weekend. Seems a small price to pay when you consider that the introvert I am married to who would be a hermit were it not for me, normally allows himself to be dragged from social event to social event with nary a complaint (especially if there is beer available.) Not a huge deal, I thought. I was kinda bummed that we had to turn down a perfectly nice invitation, but hey...he rarely asks such things. I was fine with it until about 2pm Saturday afternoon.

I am bored. I am sooooo bored. I have read so much and checked my email so much my eyes may shrivel, ooze out of my occular cavities and down my face. I took a bath. I cleaned up. I am even eyeing the Christmas tree that needs to be dismantled even though that may be my least favorite job in the entire world. I may play Boggle by myself.

Kevin has busied himself with tasks like replacing the passenger side mirror on his car that my mom broke - ha! Don't ask. And taking down the outside Christmas decorations. And changing my oil. He seems quite chipper doing these things outside in the freezing rain/sleet/ice pellets.

The really sad thing is that I have reading to do for school. However, somehow my pre-class assignment (class begins tuesday) was lost during christmas and I have no idea what I am supposed to be reading. None of my classmates will answer this question no matter how much I beg via email. Bitches.
