from Amy

I was tagged by Amy. Here we go.

A. Post the rules at the beginning.
B. Answer the questions about yourself.
C. Tag 5 people and let them know in a comment on their blogs that they have been tagged.
1. What were you doing ten years ago? It was the spring of my sophomore year of college. I was living on South green, spending time with my friends and writing for the University newspaper. I covered Entertainment - did music reviews and covered concerts, etc. I had just returned from a great spring break trip to Chicago where we lived in a very poor neighborhood and tore down an abandoned crack house and slept on the floor of this house in the hood. We ate PB & Js every day and worked hard and slept well. I loved it and it made me realize I would never go to Cancun or Ft. Lauderdale for spring break because there were much more important things to do.

2. Snacks I enjoy: Nachos, hummus and pita, fancy cheeses and crackers

3. Five Things on my To-Do List Today: Well, we went out late last night and got up late today and went to watch the Penguins game at our friends' house. We did go grocery shopping. But I don't think much else will get done today. Brush teeth, pick out clothes for tomorrow, finish cleaning up the kitchen, finish this blog entry.

4. Things I would do if I became a billionaire:
- Pay off the mortgage, the credit cards, the student loans
- Decide on one local nonprofit to be involved with for the rest of my life. Also one national and one international.
-Establish a scholarship fund for women working on nonprofit who want to further their education (I know a lot of frontline workers and support staff who would love to go to a 4-year school and a lot of people like me who want to go to grad school but don't qualify for any need-based scholarships because we're working.)
-Adopt several children and buy a big house to raise them in.
-Take everyone who has supported and inspired me on an amazing vacation every year.
-Buy a hybrid.

5. Three bad habits:
Focusing on the negative
Eating too much cheese
Leaving my shoes in the living room

6. Five places Ive lived:
1. North Versailles, PA
2. Ocean City, MD
3. Athens, OH
4. Seattle, WA 4,
5. Pittsburgh, PA

Reading program specialist at WOUB (public tv station)
Waterfront Director at the summer camp (I have a history of getting promoted)

8. Things people dont know about me:

Wow - this is tough. I say almost everything on my blog. What do you not know...

I used to bite my nails and very occasionally at a scary movie I still do.

My husband and I almost never call each other by our names - we almost exclusively use nicknames. If I say "Kevin" or he says "Jessi" someone is in trouble. :)

I am in favor of a more fiscally conservative government.

I am pretty solidly pro-choice.

Sometimes I wish I was a photographer.

I tag Bob, The Teet, Jess M, Reva and Michele.
