ode to amy
Well, now that Amy has blogged about it, I guess I can say it. it looks like the Baumgardeners are moving to the Burgh. I have been playing head hunter/realtor referal specialist for them. i am so excited I could cry. I can't wait for a second chapter to my friendship with Amy. Our first one had some rough spots, but also some of the best times I can remember. that big nasty house on Patton st. Running around in the rain. road trips. A big irish setter that I rescued one night. lots of yummy dinners. wine. scary movies. scaring the shit out of ourselves so bad with one movie that we both had to sleep in the living room. boys that broke our hearts. Asparagus. farmers market. driving to the nelsonville movie theater like three times a week because there was nothing else to do.
We both moved across the country. We both got married. now we are hopefully going to live near each other again in our hometown that has its shortcomings but more or less rocks my world.
There will be movies. There will be wine. there will be board games. and shopping and lounging at my parents' pool. summer concerts! snow tubing! kennywood! bitching about being education professionals!
Hurry up and get here...I am rolling out the red carpet.
