illness update
Well the sickness has gotten worse and worse and ery unfortunately I had to cancel a much looked forward to visit with Cat and Michele. I didn't get to see Katie when she was near here and I am not going to get to see these other ladies either. This is very bothersome. I hate being sick. HATE. Today, I have to venture out of the apartment to go to a funeral viewing. Woo-hoo. At least I will be escorted by my knight in shining armor. I just have to tell you, my boyfriend is wonderful. He brought me a potted plant with tiny little orange flowers on it that look like itsy bitsy goldfish...it's called a goldfish plant...and soup and delicious bread and visited me and took care of me when he had one million things to do otherwise. Bonus points to Kevin for this week. Heart. Also, last night, Amanda was kind enough to go and get me some Pho from the Vietnamese place around the corner and down the street. The Pho was good but there was somethign really funky about the spring roll...I think they forgot to steam the shrimp. Blech.
Thank you for your calls and emails wishing me well...that is, those of you who did so. And for those of you who just couldn't be bothered to make the effort...well, you just go on leading your self centered lives.
I am totally kidding. I don't call everyone I know when they are ill. Maybe I should though. But then I sometimes think...if hey're sick, do they want to talk? Honestly when I'm sick I don't really want to talk, but it is nice to get the voicemails.
Now for some complaining. It is HOT in Pittsburgh again. Like upper 80s at least. I live on the third floor. My choices are to open all windows and use the window fan and that oscillating one to fan myself within an inch of my life or lock myself in my dark bedroom with the air conditioner. I can't imagine sweating to death or breathing A/C all day is good for me. Someone please put an order in to the good Lord for some crisp fall weather. Thanks.
I am telecommuting today. Back to work.
